Project Manager for the offshore industry – Aarhus Johnson Controls, Global Marine & Navy is a division of Johnson Controls with more than 300 employees worldwide. We develop, produce and market complete HVAC/R and controls systems for Marine, Offshore and Navy applications, and are among the world’s leading suppliers in this field. Operations in Global Marine & Navy, Denmark is currently undergoing a strategic change in order to meet our customers expectation and as such we have now gathered both project, engineering, automation and shipping within one area. To further strengthen our engineering capabilities in handling HVAC and refrigeration projects, we are now looking for an experienced project manager to lead one of our Project teams and the execution of Johnson Controls projects mainly in the Offshore Segment. As our new Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading a Project team and undertake the implementing of projects, following consistent and repeatable project management procedures and processes. You take ownership of a project from contract has been drafted and until sign off and handover to a happy customer. You understand the importance of delivering financial reporting as well as projects on time and on budget. Further to that, you ensure that all work and materials will comply with Johnson Controls standards as well as all legal requirements. In the role as project manager, you will be reporting to the Ops Project Manager of Marine Offshore and place of work will be Aarhus, Denmark. Qualifications Five to ten years of documented experience with Project Management combined with an engineering background is preferred. Knowledge within HVAC&R is a great advantage, but the passion and understanding for planning, executing, monitoring and controlling the development of a project is just as important. A strong drive for results combined with the ability to develop processes and to work in a fast moving and changing environment is essential to succeed in the role. As a person, you are collaborative, convincing and credible to customers, partners and colleagues - and an excellent communicator – both verbal and in writing. With a thorough and rigorous approach to problem solving you understand to shift between the big picture and the small but just as important details in a project – without ever loosing the overview.
