Global Marine is a division of Johnson Controls, we develop, produce and market complete refrigeration, HVAC and controls systems for Marine, Offshore and Navy applications and are one of the world’s leading suppliers in this field. The Product & Supply division designs, manufactures and tests complex low volume marine refrigeration and HVAC equipment in house and through partner organisations throughout Europe and Asia. This is a rare opportunity for an experienced Refrigeration Product Manager to join a small, passionate and driven team to directly impact our competitive edge in a global marketplace. As the Product Manager you will be responsible for the developing and securing all of Marine & Offshore Refrigeration Product Portfolio, identifying opportunities in the market to ensure we stay competitive, reporting directly to the Director of Products & Supply. An element of this role (10%) will also involve assisting with product sales of our Sabroe Factory Units to one of our key accounts, which delivers annual multimillion dollar revenue to the business. As the Refrigeration Product Manager you will be designing low volume and bespoke solutions, even prototyping, for products that can operate in Arctic to Middle East conditions, considering footprints for example to fit ship and rig designs. You’ll work on multiple projects simultaneously (10-15), project timeframes ranging from 3- 12 months. Some examples of Marine Product demands include: • AHU - Drip tray designed for pitch & roll • Deck unit – made seawater resistant • Compressor designed for pitch & roll • Cabin Unit – rules for B15 fire test • All external cabling to be halogen free Role Responsibilities: • Analyzing existing products and range – securing product strategy, conceptual designs and competitiveness • Responsible for developing and maintaining basis products (materials, documentation, pricelists etc.) • Secure updated Marine market and competitor product information’s • Communicate product releases, technical information’s, etc (SharePoint, PDM newsletters, homepage, e-mail …) • Provide technical product support (all Marine and Offshore products) • Securing and providing Marine and Offshore rules support to the organization • Develop Refrigeration material and courses for Global Marine • Establish, develop and maintain close relationships with internal/external customers #external Kvalifikationer Skills & Experience Required To apply for this role you must be able to demonstrate your in depth knowledge of the industrial refrigeration indusrtry with a passion for developing and driving product innovation. Your application will be considered if you can evidence the following requirments: • Educated Mechanical Engineer (ideally specialized in Thermodynamics) on minimum B.Sc level • Knowledge of industrial refrigeration systems, marine systems would be an advantage • Experience in product management, leading a project from concept to production • Ability to develop specification and draft testing plans • Ability to work efficiently and prioritize in a hectic environment without losing track or momentum • Customer focused approach • Ability to manage and influence both internal & external stakeholders at all levels • Tireless and results driven mentality, ability to critically analyse and optimise performance • Execellency in verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience • Proficiency in English language We will offer you an interesting and challenging position with great personal freedom and professional responsibility.
