Process Developer for DUS testing (AC level) TystofteFoundation, located in Skælskør, Denmark, is looking for a process developer in the DUS- group starting January, 1. 2016. TystofteFoundation performs  the technical examination of new varieties of agricultural species regarding Distinctness, Uniformity and Stability (DUS). DUS-testing is a process where the morphological characteristics of new varieties are registered. Through this process, the distinctness between the varieties and the uniform and stable expression of the morphological characteristics are documented. The DUS examination is the basis for registration of new varieties on the Danish National List, EU Common Catalog as well as granting of Plant Variety Protection. Responsibilities and tasks • Updating of DUS instructions and procedures in the quality management program QualiWare. • The DUS testing is performed according to international guidelines (UPOV and CPVO) and our DUS testing is internationally entrusted according to the CPVO requirements • Participate in planning, sowing, establishing and managing of the DUS trials in collaboration with the DUS coordinator and operation team • developed and implemented a new methodology of varietal distinctness in collaboration with the DUS coordinator • Project applications and -management • Maintenance of seed collection (standard sample and reference varieties) • Identity Testing of new seeds submissions

Your qualifications • You have a botanical or agricultural academic degree with knowledge of plant breeding, molecular techniques and/or quality management (agronomist, horticulturalist or biologist) • You have good computer skills, like knowledge of SAS programming (processing large amounts of data with statistical assessments), handheld data recording and digital imaging analyzing. • You have knowledge and interest in botany and plant genetic resources • you are able to communicate orally and in writing in English and Danish • It is essential that you have a high carefulness and respect deadlines - even when it goes fast.
