Vattenfall is one of Europe’s largest electricity generators and producer of heat and operates in Sweden, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands and the UK. Our strategy is to reduce emissions from power generation with a road map to achieving climate neutrality by 2050. 

We are now looking for the right person to fill the position as Package Manager HVDC within Business Area Wind Offshore. 

Responsibilities as HVDC Package Manager

• Ensure delivering HVDC Grid Connection package from product development phase in roadmaps throughout design, manufacturing, installation & commissioning in delivery projects
• Be part of the product development team in the roadmaps and become the leader to the package team during delivery ensuring the health, safety and environment objectives are lived up to
• Engage in setting the Vattenfall HVDC requirements and ensure delivery of package against those throughout contract execution
• Manage progress and communication with supplier of respective package throughout thought delivery phases till handover to Generation
• Ensures resourcing of package and supply of services & products from internal organization or external. This is done in close collaboration with line organization
• Be interface to line organization and technical authorities ensuring the package is delivered according to Vattenfall standards and ways of working
• Handle work package reporting during delivery phase into project team and provide input to internal decision processes
• Interact with project team by managing interfaces, sharing lessons learned and introducing improvements
• Delivering packages within financial project objectives, according to project programme, defined quality expectations
• Risk and opportunity management of package securing that both risk and opportunities is captured in the tender process and later realization
• Be active part in the organization by sharing best practice, using and contributing to the common knowledge pool and take responsibility for improvement initiatives and work packages across projects & asset lifecycle

 Qualification/ Competence

• Graduate degree in engineering or equivalent technical university degree
• Extensive working experience and proven track record within large-scale construction, multi-contracting projects, offshore-, oil- or power industry
• Deep knowledge of project management methods ideally certified by IPMA, PMI or equivalent
• Proactively identifying, tracking and solving technical tasks including risks and opportunities in the project
• Coordinating technical deliverables and ensuring that technical and qualitative standards are met
• Experienced in contract & supplier management.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to create a motivating working environment
• Strong ability to structure, analyze and interpret data as well as strong negotiation and communication skills
• Excellent communication skills and fluent English

Location

The location of the position is either Hamburg or Kolding. Regular business trips are required.
