Are you an experienced people manager and a highly skilled electrical engineer? And are you ready to utilize your leadership experience and technical expertise among a global team of specialists and ambitious clients in a leading consultancy within the renewable industry? We are looking for an experienced manager to head our global Electrical Engineering Centre of Excellence, who can actively provide both technical and team leadership. You will be a key driver in setting the agenda for this service area and build your team around a mutually agreed strategy. In this position, you will be reporting to our Divisional Director, Engineering and based at our headquarters in Aarhus, DK or in one of our offices in Hamburg, DE or Glasgow, UK. 

Lead a team of specialists and ensure top-notch electrical engineering capabilities
As manager of Electrical Engineering your primary responsibility will be to lead, train and coach a team of highly skilled electrical engineers globally and to ensure that your team provides accurate work, on time and budget to clients and projects. Furthermore, you will:

• Develop a strategic plan to manage the growth of Electrical Engineering (in cooperation with Divisional Director) and manage continuous improvement of technical capabilities on a global scale
• Sign off for all electrical engineering work in K2 Management globally
• Manage a continuous improvement process for Electrical Engineering and ensure technical capabilities within K2 Management on a global scale in line with the strategy plan
• Provide technical advice and support to clients
• Resource and competence management within a growing team and expanding work load, with numerous active projects
• Cooperate, communicate and coordinate with other engineering and non-engineering team leaders 
• Enable knowledge management and continuous learning within the engineering team. 

Experienced electrical engineer with proven leadership skills

ou have an electrical engineering background combined with 5+ years of experience from the renewable industry (wind and/or solar), and you are driven by creating great results through a high-performing team. In addition, you have:   

• Current and demonstrable team leadership capabilities
• Experience within project management at package management level
• 10+ years of experience with power systems transmission and infrastructure projects
• Knowledge and experience within several of the following areas; power plant, transmission and distribution asset, grid connection, earthing, protection, HV/MV switchgear, power-electronics, submarine cable and HVDC systems and power systems design
• Experience within hybrid power systems and battery storage systems
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing and the ability to explain technical issues to non-engineers, including clients. 

As a person, you are pro-active, robust and client oriented, always aiming at delivering high quality, optimum support and stretched flexibility. You have a structured and persistent approach to your assignments, while at the same time maintaining a great overview. Furthermore, you have an open-minded and cooperative personality and you provide visionary and attentive leadership, always keeping in mind what is best for the company. Your diplomatic skills and honesty are requirements in a multi-cultural organization as well as the ability to work cross-functional.
