You might be the perfect match for our Lead Engineer position in Continuous Improvement Management (CIM) Engineering.

Mechanical Engineering > Nacelle Engineering > CIM Engineering

In CIM Engineering, we are a team working on failed components, which are still in warranty, by analyzing our way to the root cause through an engineering and analytical approach and driving solutions across the entire value chain.

We are 17 colleagues placed all over the world - 8 placed in Denmark. CIM is known for its very international environment, with broad interface to the rest of the organisation as well as customers. We are constantly chasing the best solution for all stakeholders. It is highly valued to be self-driven, however your colleagues are always ready with inputs.

Responsibilities

The responsibility of a CIM Engineer is to drive the root cause analysis with relevant stakeholders from the entire value chain. When the root cause has been identified the focus will shift to developing an improvement solution which can be implemented on the affected turbines. The CIM process is tailored around the DMAIC process which minimizes the risk of going down a blind alley.

Area of responsibilities

• Plan effort with the project manager.
• Drive root cause analysis.
• Make alignment with all affected stakeholders like: System owners, service/ installation, legal, finance etc.
• Drive development of improvement solution.
• Take up a dialogue with the supplier/ manufacture of the affected component.
• Testing of solution.
• Updating the necessary documentation like: Risk assessment, manuals, service message etc.

Qualifications

You hold a M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering with some years of experience within the structural field, preferably from the wind industry or similar.

Experience within 2 or more of the following areas is a must:

• Structural and large mechanical components
• Casting
• Weldment
• Knowledge about material like steel grades and properties
• Bolts and fasteners
• Crack growth
• FEA

Competencies

• You have a thorough and structured approach to your work and can find innovative solutions to problems
• You are confident to take decisions in a short period of time, based on facts with a pragmatic approach without compromising the quality or safety requirements
• You are an independent and proactive self-starter and persistent in reaching your goals and have leadership skills and would like to use it in your everyday work
• You are customer oriented and can understand the business value chain seen from a service and customer perspective
• Knowledge about Six Sigma/DMAIC methodology is an advantage
• You can communicate effortlessly in English both verbal and written
