About the Position
For our Service Technology Department in Denmark, we are looking for a Head of Wind Power Engineering (HoE) who will head 4 departments with experts covering service tasks within Blades, Loads&Control, Mechnical designs and Electricals. The HoE manger will be responsible for leading and driving the Service engineering strategy and roadmap ensuring that we develop and deliver the best and most efficient technical service solutions to our customers. Partnering and collaboration internally and with our customers on a global scale is crucial in order to achieve this goal. Furthermore, the HoE should also engage and enhance collaboration with universities and suppliers.
The HoE must ensure that Service Technology resources are developed, trained and equipped with the best processes and tools.
What are my responsibilities?
- Leveraging and establishing strong collaboration between interfacing functions and senior management to bring the Wind Power Engineering team to the next level
- Growing and developing motivated management and engineering teams to improve performance and increase efficiency
- Further developing Wind Power Engineering in meeting our Services targets and ensuring consistency with the overall Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy strategy
What do I need to qualify for this job?
- Master's degree in engineering, science or similar
- Additional BA qualification (e.g. MBA) or similar experience (e.g. consulting) preferred
- Several years (5+) experience in R&D, Project or Product Management
- Significant experience within service engineering and / or assembly of heavy machinery, within the energy industry or similar
- Knowledge and experience in power generation design and operation, preferably from the wind industry, utilities, system operators, automation industry or energy products
- Proven track record of building and growing effective management teams
- Experience in a strategy related environment
- Excellent communication skills as well as English fluency both orally and in writing
