Lyngby / Local / General Management / Ref.: MD-064505 Can you challenge the norms to do things better and do you have excellent communication skills combined with solid Maintenance and Materials Management…..then you might be our next Head of Maintenance and Materials Management We Offer Based in Lyngby near Copenhagen, the Head of Maintenance & Materials Management will support Maersk Drilling’s assets/units in areas related to technical compliance, class, inspections. Maersk Drilling’s uptime record is a high 97% however there is opportunity to increase this and make intelligent investment decisions and cost savings by utilising and optimising the maintenance data to improve processes. A new maintenance system, IFS, is replacing SAP in Maersk Drilling. It is not a requirement to have working knowledge of this system but to have set up and utilised maintenance systems in the past would be an advantage. Significant investment has also been made in Condition Based Monitoring (CBM) and better use of this data for the wider group is an important facet of this position. Key Responsibilities As Head of Maintenance and Materials Management your focus is on assisting the assets in maintaining a safe and reliable operation with high uptime by providing optimised systems and sharing learnings. Your role includes: • Implementation, maintenance and running of maintenance systems • Drive maintenance optimisation (CBM including vibration and oil analysis) to ensure that the units are maintained to a high standard and at a competitive cost • Responsible for service contracts on surface BOP’s, thrusters and main engines • Riser management • Vendor focal point on technical issues • Surface BOP’s maintenance programme • RAM modelling • Global Stock Supply to ensure that the company has fleet critical and high value spare parts and equipment available for the fleet at short notice • Produce and maintain operational documentation Who we are looking for You have a track record of visible and positive leadership and a degree in Mechanical Engineering or corresponding academic degree. You have well developed business acumen and understand the key drivers and levers that influence the business performance. Your stakeholder management skills need to be great, as you will be cooperating with many different types of people – from VPs to welders. As a leader you are: • Skilled at managing change and constantly looking to challenge the norms to do things better • Strong leader of leaders • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills • You keep the bigger picture in mind at all times, yet you understand the importance of minding the details – from the minor to the larger ones • High energy level and able to drive yourself and your team forward.
