Fuel innovation with insights

As a global innovation insights manager, you will join 18 colleagues in our Global Development Insights team in Billund. Here, you will meet a diverse team with very different backgrounds, e.g. consumer and innovation researchers, digital experts, design researchers, anthropologists, data journalists and futurists. Working across borders, our mission is to constantly strengthen and improve the innovation power of the LEGO Group through solid insights about consumers and markets.

The Global Development Insights team is a part of Global Insights, a full-service research department consisting of 45 people based all over the world and forming an insights partnership with business leaders across the LEGO Group.

You will be performing the role as a trusted insights partner to business leaders, marketeers and designers within the innovation area. You will design, implement and communicate findings from research projects and translate key insights in order to constantly strengthen, improve and create the foundation for our innovation power.

This means that you:

- Lead and co-lead insight projects at different stages of the innovation process – from the early stages where the research is explorative and experimental and all the way to the mature stages of innovation where the research takes the form of concept, communication and assortment testing

- Bring innovation to the methodology toolbox e.g. how to combine quantitative and qualitative methods and techniques

- Plan, conduct and analyse various types of explorative field studies among children and families

- Synthesise insights and data from a wide variety of sources, tailoring deliverables to different types of innovation stakeholders

- Identify and establish different ways to communicate insights to senior management and our Design & Marketing organisation as we are their trusted strategic in-house partner

As this is a global role, you can expect to travel 40-50 days a year across the world, mainly to the US, Germany, China and the UK.

Creative mind with strong analytical skills

Furthermore, you need strong stakeholder management skills to collaborate with both your team, internal stakeholders and our external research partners, and you enjoy working in a high-performing environment with a cross-disciplinary approach. You also bring:

- 3-5 years’ experience within innovation research, allowing you to work with different project maturity levels

- A master’s degree within social sciences, preferably with a business focus – this means you have sound knowledge of the full methodology toolbox, and both the latest qualitative and quantitative methods

- Excellent communication skills – you are a strong influencer, an inspiring communicator and a strategic thinker

- A holistic 360-degree perspective on innovation, focusing not only on the product but on improving the entire play experience

- Excellent English skills in both speech and writing
