The offer
As Machine Learning Engineer, you’ll developing highly scalable applications using established libraries and custom implementations of cutting edge algorithms and will be responsible for making sure that we can deliver working prototypes of our different initiatives. In the Natural Language Process unit of Data Science Lab, you will be working with in a group whose top priority is building products that can demonstrate how machine learning and artificial intelligence can help Nordea automate, improve and scale core processes particularly in text analytics and language technologies. We are dedicated to open-source stacks, focused on the Apache ecosystem, and open source Machine Learning packages such as Tensorflow, Keras. We primarily work in Python, Java, Scala.
What you’ll be doing:
- You will be an indispensable member of Natural Language Processing team, together we deliver great machine learning and AI driven procts
- You will be working in a team of highly skilled people
- You will design and vision a project from modelling and system level
- You will hands-on and contribute directly to our codebase
- You will be the main driver of some critical projects
- You are expected to bring in and share your knowledge and expertise within the team

Your background:
- You have a good academic background, we highly appreciate degrees from Computer Science, Statistics, Physics or related field
- You are experienced in frond-end and back-end development
- You have some experience in delivering scalable and operational machine learning applications
- You are experienced in Java and Python
- You have knowledge on Apache eco-system, Docker, Kubernetes
- You have knowledge on storage systems e.g. relational and non-relational databases
- You have strong interest in growing your own technology skill
- You have excellent written and oral presentation skill in English
