Do you want to join a fast growing international biotech company? Alphalyse is looking for a dedicated scientist to join our team in Odense, Denmark, performing protein characterization services for more than 1.000 biotech and pharma customers all over the world. To help our clients we constantly develop new analysis methods for protein biopharmaceuticals, using a variety of protein purification and analysis methods in combination with top-of-the-line mass spectrometry. Job description We are seeking 1-2 protein scientist(s) with PhD-level expertise in protein analysis using mass spectrometry and immunoassays. You will be part of a team developing analytical methods for biopharmaceutical protein characterization, including protein purification and LC-MS/MS methods for identification and quantification of proteins in complex biological and bioprocess samples. You will work hands-on in the laboratory together with our experienced team of protein scientists, with project management, and engage in direct communication with clients. You will be responsible for setting up new methods and equipment. Your skills and experience We expect that you have experience and interest in general protein analysis methods, and have good skills within several of the following areas: •LC-MS/MS analysis of proteins and peptides (ESI-TOF instruments) •Chromatographic protein/peptide separation: nanoLC, UV-LC, SEC or FPLC systems •General protein analysis techniques using immunoassays, including; ELISA, Western blotting, SDS-PAGE, antibody affinity-purification, etc. •Bioinformatics database searching for protein identification, relative and absolute quantification using label-free methods, characterization of post-translational modifications •Knowledge of protein characterization for recombinant proteins, vaccines, monoclonal antibodies and therapeutic proteins •Knowledge about Quality Control systems (GLP/GMP/ISO) You have a scientific curiosity and analytical approach, and you have presented your work at scientific meetings and in PowerPoint presentations, posters and papers. You are a friendly, outgoing person with good collaboration and communication skills in English. You are service-minded and thrive in a team. Do you want to join our team?
