Job Description

Are you driven by curiosity, do you have the talent for designing electronics and have experience within analog and digital circuits? Then you could be our new Electrical Engineer at Danfoss Drives in Gråsten, where we develop and produce variable speed drives, the VLT ®.
 
 
Product improvement and development of new solutions
You will be part of the Product Engineering Center and join a team of 10 skilled and committed colleagues in a highly innovative environment. Together you will work on product improvement, component obsolescence and development of new solutions.
 
At an overall level, you will help ensuring that our products have a solid, robust design and a high level of quality throughout the entire product lifespan. You will both design new- and redesign existing electronics with either known- or new technologies.
 
 
Responsibilities and tasks
Whenever you are driving the implementation of your changes to the product, it will be your responsibility to secure that the level of quality is maintained – as you will do in all your work.
 
Your tasks will include:

• Product adaptations based on design changes to our standard products, as a consequence of special customer requirements
• Continuous quality improvements based on root cause analysis of field failures and subsequent design changes
• Cost-down activities based on design changes
• Ensuring that production is running, using the right components 

Your responsibilities:

• Designing of circuits at high quality
• Troubleshooting and redesign
• Components selection and qualification
• Risk mitigation by reviewing, simulation/calculation and testing
• Documenting your work
• Scheduling and implementation of your solution in running production 

Experienced Electrical Engineer
You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. You are experienced within design of electronics with focus on analog- and digital design. You might even have hands-on experience with embedded electronics and are familiar with the basic EMC correct design. Furthermore, you are willing to develop yourself within circuit design using current-transducers.
 
On a more personal level, you thrive on solving technical problems, both independently and together with a team, and are not afraid of jumping into new challenges. You have a holistic overview and you manage to work on several fronts in a persistent and goal-oriented manner. You are quality-minded and have a high sense of urgency. Dialogue and involvement are key tools that you master to implement strong and lasting solutions.
