About the department

Novo Nordisk Region Europe office is based in Ørestad, Copenhagen, Denmark and counts around 70 employees with nationalities from all across the world. As Marketing Lead, Basal Insulins, you will be part of Commercial Operations Region Europe (CORE). 

You will report to the Insulin Brand Director and be a crucial member of the Insulin Brand Team Region Europe. Insulin Brand Team is a cross-functional team driving insulin performance and cross-functional excellence in setting strategic direction and commercial execution in Europe with the purpose to strengthen insulin leadership.

 

The position

As a Marketing Lead for Basal Insulins, you will belong to a highly motivated and dynamic cross-functional team and be part of the European and global marketing community. 

You will be responsible for driving strategic affiliate planning and execution within Basal insulin segment and for supporting the preparation and successful execution affiliate brand plans. 

You will facilitate best practice sharing among affiliates and ensure timely and effective communication between different levels in the organisation globally and locally to ensure coordinated execution of relevant Region Europe initiatives. This includes setting up for a and processes which are required for strong European alignment and insights. 

You will be responsible for developing and implementing European brand strategy and for ensuring profitable launches across Europe. 

To be successful you will need to monitor performance, understand underlying growth drivers and opportunities while taking into account the whole diabetes portfolio and available resources. You will need to understand the complexities of European markets and translate them into insightful strategic recommendations. 

The position is offered full time and can be based in Denmark or another big European country with frequent business travel to be expected.

 

Qualifications

Below are the skills required.

• You have a Business or Life sciences Master’s degree with relevant post graduate experience
• Around 10 years of experience in sales & marketing in the pharmaceutical industry, with 5 years affiliate experience, is expected with proven record of successfully launching products, developing and implementing brand strategies and plans and managing projects
• You have a profound marketing and brand management experience within the area of biotech products in primary and secondary care. Understanding of market access and public affairs is an advantage
• As a person you are passionate about driving innovation and change. You have strong business and analytical skills. You have the ability to think strategically and plan for the future success. You are strong at people skills and demonstrate a cross functional collaborative behavior. You are a responsible, open and honest and proactive team player who aspires towards common success. You take pride in delivering excellent services to stakeholders; hence your communication skills must be excellent. You have ability to perform under pressure. Proficiency in English is required. Willingness to travel frequently is needed
