The role of NPI Blades (New Product Introduction) department is to ensure that products under development are introduced to our blade factories by delivering the prototypes and all related production documentation for the running production. The main focus is to support new product introduction by reviewing documentation from the Technology Services and Solutions (TSS) function, map risks and secure to have them facilitated, building prototypes, deliver all needed production documentation, Bill of materials and support running production as NPI bridge in between Manufacturing and TSS in regards to the product. The tasks are cross-functional, and require R&D knowledge as well as operational knowledge, together with good management skills in a cross functional global environment. The main focus is to secure flawless presentation of new product introductions and fast and efficient manufacturing support related to production documentation as well as design related NCR and QBD case handling. The team is responsible for delivering prototypes, and a full ready production setup with all documentation needed for running production. Responsibilities Your main responsibilities will be to lead, manage and develop the NPI Blades team, stakeholder management, and to deliver new product introductions including all the documentation needed for the running production in a safe working environment. In addition, your responsibilities will cover: Securing operational support for running productions Being one point of contact in between Manufacturing and TSS with regards to design, including ensuring value chain and manufacturability in early design stages. Ensuring participation in integrated product and process development with designers and others to ensure best manufacturing practice in design Ensuring identification of critical and unknown processes in early project stages to secure risk mitigation. Interfacing with Manufacturing, Global Procurement, Design, Platform management, Tools & Equipment, Health & Safety etc. Qualifications You have a relevant engineering degree preferably on M.Sc. level You have minimum 5 years’ experience from a similar management position You have solid knowledge about R&D processes, manufacturability, quality systems, safety systems and factory setups You probably have experience in managing long distance teams You have experience in change management Competencies You have excellent management skills and you are great in execution in a global organization with many stakeholders. You are a strong change manager with operational knowledge in how to run a factory, and familiar with R&D processes. Furthermore, we expect that you have a strong focus on safety are outgoing and capable of building good relations with your stakeholders are committed to deliver results and you follow the agreed plan and concept have a structured approach when you work with projects and concepts have strong communicative skills and an excellent understanding of different cultures are fluent in English, both spoken and written.
