Are you a true design thinker and innovator, who loves to play? This is a one of a kind opportunity to influence the future of play in a global company producing the world’s best construction toy. Explore pioneering play experiences In this role, you join our Creative Play Lab to create radically new play opportunities based on future trends, new technologies and services. Your starting point is children´s current and emerging play needs, from where you explore and develop pioneering LEGO® Play experiences bridging the physical and the digital. The focus is to apply the LEGO System of play to new target groups, new markets or new technologies. You work with a team of designers and engineers to develop prototypes and play experiences that are constantly evaluated by children and other play experts. More specifically you: Do research to continuously amass insights on the developments in play and technology Collaborate with universities, leading technology companies and small start-ups around the world Pinpoint new influential disruptors, insights, strategic opportunities and act as the starting point in regards to direction, concept and product development Travel up to six weeks per year to scout the world for new technologies and experiences, using these insights to create directions for new creative LEGO Play. Further, we imagine that you: Have real life experience using design as a process, and you are able to demonstrate how you use design thinking processes to make sense of otherwise complex problems and challenges. Hold a degree in design, innovation or concept creation and 3+ years of relevant experience, where any product design competencies or digital development experience would be an advantage Thrive working in groups and have good communication and presentation skills both in written and spoken English Are self-driven, assume leadership of your own tasks and know how to argue for your ideas Understand play and children´s play needs, just as you have a genuine interest in technology - and any experience from the toy industry would be a plus Bringing it to life "If you have always kept in touch with your inner child, looking for ways to keep on playing and staying creative, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to use your imagination to influence the future of play.
