The Danish Technological Institute in Taastrup is currently seeking a web developer to help us to develop customer-focussed web solutions that will expedite the laboratory technologies of tomorrow. As our new web developer, you will contribute to developing our business through your use of innovation and cutting-edge programming. Developing web solutions The successful candidate will join the Institute’s IT Development team and will collaborate with the team’s dedicated staff in the design and implementation of web-based solutions. Your primary tasks will involve producing web-based solutions for use in quality-management systems and for handling industrial measurement data from the Institute’s many laboratories, as well as developing solutions for the Institute’s many departments and customers. Tasks will include working with ASP.Net Webforms and MVC, SQL and Javascript technology. Because the Institute is an organisation with an intense focus on ongoing development, the position also offers you the opportunity to develop and test new technologies and methods within the field of programming and development. Developer with a keen business sense We welcome all applications from individuals who have completed a tertiary education within the discipline of development/programming and who are technological frontrunners at the cutting edge of this field. We expect applicants to have past experience of working with ASP.Net Webforms and MVC, experience of developing web-based solutions, and a solid background working with ASP.Net, C#, JS, HTML, CSS and jQuery. Any supplementary experience working with web components from Developer Express, WPF and Entity Frameworks will be viewed particularly favourably. As an individual, you should be an engaged team player who is ready to inspire and be inspired. You should remain focussed on the end product in all of your work, have a keen business sense and take a service-minded approach to your tasks. IT Development At the IT Development department, we develop and service web- and mobile-based solutions for both the Danish Technological Institute and its customers, often in conjunction with external providers. The department is staffed by six competent employees who work together in an informal environment on a series of exciting and challenging assignments. Although we prefer working agilely, we are not dedicated preachers of SCRUM. We share our premises with an eclectic mix of development, support and communication staff – not to mention our approx. 1000 colleagues who work in a wide range of fields from nanotechnology to 3D printing.
