Would you like to join one of the most ambitious offshore wind farm projects in the world? Join us and become Deputy EPC Director in our Deputy EPC Directors department which is responsible for supporting the EPC Director in managing the execution of wind farm projects in DONG Energy Wind Power, from early maturation stages through wind farm construction until transfer to operations. Your task as Deputy EPC Director will be to support the EPC Director in leading one of our offshore wind farm projects and to be able to step up as EPC Director within 24-36 months. The department is part of Wind Power which has 1800 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. Wind Power is the world’s largest developer and operator of offshore wind power, and we use our unique knowledge in all phases of our wind farm projects. During the last 20 years, we have developed and constructed the world’s largest portfolio of offshore wind farms in Northern Europe. You may choose freely to be based either at one of our Danish offices in Skærbæk near Fredericia or in Gentofte in the Greater Copenhagen area or alternatively at our London office in the United Kingdom or our Hamburg office in Germany on local terms and conditions. However, you should expect some travelling in relation to your work. Your key duties will be to •manage a part of the project scope, schedule, cost and resources •secure the quality of deliverables from teams within your project scope •ensure an excellent HSE performance both internally and at our suppliers •manage project risk •manage project stakeholders. As Deputy EPC Director, you will furthermore be responsible for a defined limited scope of the offshore wind farm turnkey project and project management supporting activities. Your qualifications and core competences include that you have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering as well as solid technical understanding and relevant experience within the offshore industry come from a similar position as Deputy EPC Director or Package Manager and have gained hands-on experience with all phases of the construction of large CAPEX projects have good knowledge of international project management standards, such as PMI, IPMA or PRINCE2, as well as experience with stage-gate divided project execution have leadership and team management experience from large, complex infrastructure projects, preferably from a strong matrix organisation, and you have business insights and understand the key drivers and levers that influence business performance speak and write English fluently as we operate in an international environment and cooperate closely with our colleagues abroad. Furthermore, you are a strong leader of leaders and capable of supporting and developing your team as well as a strong communicator, excellent at explaining complex matters in a simple way. You are capable of managing change and are constantly looking to challenge the norms to do things better. Moreover, you have the ability to see the bigger picture at all times, yet you understand the importance of minding the details. You can handle numerous tasks simultaneously without losing perspective, and you thrive in a job in a hectic, multi-cultural project organisation.
