We are seeking Technicians to join the Upstream Process Development Department at CMC Biologics A/S (CMC). CMC is a Contract Manufacturing Organization with facilities in Denmark and USA and with customers all over the world. The department The Upstream Process Development Department is responsible for cell line development, cell culture and fermentation process development, process characterization, technology transfers and technology development. Projects range from early pre-clinical development through all phases of clinical development all the way to commercial supply. Upstream Process Development is also responsible for all cGMP cell banking activities, design of platform processes and evaluation and implementation of new upstream technologies and techniques. The work environment in our department is very informal. There is constant collaboration across the entire organization, and all employees have a professional and flexible attitude towards their work. The department consists of 20 dedicated and highly competent scientists and technicians at an approximately 50/50 ratio. Gain insight into the industry and develop your skills You will work cross-functionally and on a wide range of different projects. The work is usually performed in customer projects in close collaboration with the team and personnel from other development departments., including Downstream Process Development, Analytical Development and Process Transfer. Trained laboratory technician with hands-on experience The ideal candidates are laboratory technicians with extensive hands-on experience from the industry, within the following areas: • Mammalian cell culturing • Aseptic techniques • Bioreactors, mammalian and/or microbial cultivations • Working in compliance with quality standards and systems • GMP cell banking We will get to know you as a flexible colleague with a positive attitude. Experience and competencies The ideal candidate is a trained laboratory technician or has a related scientific/technical background. In addition to that you have: • A minimum of 3 years relevant experience from the industry • Strong technical expertise within the areas above • An understanding of biopharmaceutical manufacturing • Awareness of GMP requirements • A desire to take on new tasks and responsibilities • Good interpersonal and communication skills • Excellent English written and oral communication skills On a personal level we expect you to be a high performing team player and to be ambitious on behalf of yourself and the company.
