The IT University of Copenhagen invites applications for full-time faculty position at the rank of assistant professor or associate professor in the area of in digital methods approaches to data in organisation, management, or innovation. The proposed staring date is January 2017 or soon thereafter.     The IT University is looking to strengthen its research and teaching within digital tools, methods and approaches for qualitative data studies of organization, management and innovation. Candidates should be qualified in one or more of the following areas:   

• Digital tools and methods for data analytics and visualizations, including constructive, critical and reflexive engagement with those.   
• Critical computing in relation to data analytics and (big) data.  
• The role of data in organizational settings, management and innovation.   
• The effects and power of tools in data­driven processes.  
• The politics of big data in new infrastructure developments. 

  The candidate will thus work inter-disciplinarily with a combination of digital methods and qualitative or mixed methods approaches to digital society, organization and change.     The ideal candidate should document competences in:  

• Publications of research at a high international level in well-respected peer reviewed venues.   
• A strong technical background combined with consideration of the wider aspects of security (eg. applications, social engineering approaches, vulnerability of physical infrastructure, or similar).   
• Documentation of having conducted undergraduate and/or graduate teaching that is well received by students.  
• A record of contributing to the goals of the institutions in which he/she has worked, for example participation in committees, etc.   
• For the associate professor level: experience with supervising students at the undergraduate and/or graduate level, and curriculum development.  

  In addition, candidates for associate professorships should:   

• Be able to attract external research funding  
• Be able and prepared to supervise PhD students  
• Have the ability to read/speak a Scandinavian language (or the willingness to learn Danish).  

  The assistant professorship is a temporary position for up to 4 years with the possibility for extension.      General information   The IT University of Copenhagen (ITU) is a teaching and research-based tertiary institution concerned with information technology (IT) and the opportunities it offers. The IT University has more than 70 full-time Faculty members.
