Lokation DK - Smørum If you want to help design the next generation of state-of-the-art digital components for use in Oticon’s market-leading hearing aids, then we have an exciting and challenging job for you. To develop the world’s best hearing aids, it is always necessary to adapt and optimize the IC components. That is why IC design is a core competence at Oticon. We deal with the newest IC technologies and we place emphasis on a professional and innovative working environment. The technical challenge: Design of ultra-low power components In your new job, you will become part of Oticon’s Processor IC and Toolflow team, which is responsible for designing and developing the DSP ICs used in the hearing aids in the William Demant Group. The team consisting of 11 designers and 1 team leader. The team also creates the tools and flows used in developing the ICs. The components you are going to help us develop are characterized by extremely low power consumption and high integrability, as well as they also need to be easy to produce in large volumes. To achieve this, we constantly push the technology to its limits and focus on smart design. You can look forward to being involved in all phases of the development and design from pre-study to evaluation of the final IC or processor. Thus, you will be involved in analyzing concepts, defining requirements for processors, design, documentation, verification with low level FW/SW and lab testing etc. Along the way, you will have close contact with product development to ensure optimal utilization of the digital component. In this way, you will gain insight into the practical implementation and application of our components. As you grow more firmly into your new role, we are able to offer you many other professional challenges along the way. Depending on your interests, you can become part of cross-functional cross study groups focusing on investigating future concepts or you could join the team that develops and further improves our Linux/Unix platform and our digital development flow. Solid understanding of ASIC design and interest in processor design The most important qualification for this job is a good knowledge of ASIC design and IC design flow in combination with a real passion for this field. You may have worked a few years in a business where the focus is on digital IC design or you may be a newly graduated engineer specialized in IC design or have a Ph.D. within IC design. Experience of developing processors is not a requirement, but we are looking for someone who is has shown interest in understanding processors either by taking these courses during their studies, free time hobbies, doing some assembler coding etc. Together with you, we will create a customized processor design development/training plan based on your back ground. Training will include both external and internal training. You are familiar with the following: . HDL coding, preferably Verilog . Design in a SoC ASIC Design flow, preferably Synopsys . Verification at all levels e.g. rtl, formal, gate . Writing technical design documentation . Experience with programming and scripting languages e.g.java, python, tcl . Experience with Digital signal processing is an advantage . Working in a linux/unix environment is an advantage .
